About The Role
Join the IRS Business Master File Modernization (BMF Mod) program, a critical initiative improving taxpayer services and modernizing legacy tax systems. We seek an experienced Mainframe Developer to drive modernization efforts, support Operations & Maintenance, and contribute to tax system enhancements.
What You'll Do
Convert Assembler logic into Java, and test Legacy (Assembler) and new Java code.
Prefer candidates with Endevor experience.
Develop, integrate, test, and deploy modernized IRS BMF platform solutions.
Maintain and optimize IBM z/OS Assembly programs for tax processing.
Extract and convert legacy business rules for system modernization.
Work with IRS Core Record Layout (CRL), QSAM, and VSAM data formats.
Utilize CA Endevor SCM for version control and BMC Control-M for workflow automation.
Primary Skills
Hands-on IRS CRL & QSAM experience.
Strong IBM z/OS Assembly skills (Assembler required, Java preferred, OS JCL).
Expertise in DB2, VSAM, job scheduling, and mainframe architecture.
Experience with IRS IMF/BMF systems is a plus.
Required
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (No H1 visas).
