Position Overview
ZenPoint Solutions is seeking a Lead Software Developer, Applications to spearhead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of sophisticated software systems operating across multiple networks and classification domains. This role demands advanced technical proficiency, strategic leadership, and expertise in Agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-performance software solutions. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive technical excellence, and guide the software development lifecycle from design to deployment. This position is contingent upon the successful award of a government contract and subsequent government approval.
Clearance Requirement : Candidates must hold a minimum Interim Secret clearance and be able to secure and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment. ZenPoint can cage higher-level clearances.
Work Location : Northern Virginia
Work Schedule (On-site) : Five (5) days a week on-site at the customer’s facility
Requirements :
- Maintain software systems through ongoing development, including operations and maintenance (O&M) of complex, interconnected legacy systems across multiple networks and classification domains
- Design and implement enhancements to classified and unclassified system software
- Oversee the design, architecture, and development of software applications, ensuring scalability and performance
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide expert guidance on resolution
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level developers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing
- Ensure the team meets project deadlines and deliverables through effective sprint planning and agile methodologies
- Lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to promote smooth team operations and continuous improvement
- Execute all development activities using an enterprise Agile methodology
- Design and develop software through all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, coding, debugging, verification, testing, and maintenance of deployed systems
- Ensure that all software development and systems engineering efforts incorporate information security requirements throughout the SDLC
- Perform continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) to ensure seamless software updates and releases
