Senior Software Engineer - Automation QA/Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand Power BI report

requirements and data models.

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Power BI reports and dashboards.

• Design and implement automated testing frameworks to validate the accuracy, performance, and functionality

of Power BI applications.

• Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of Power BI solutions through software updates and

enhancements.

• Perform data validation and verification to ensure the integrity of data visualizations within Power BI reports.

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and report defects, working closely with developers to facilitate timely resolutions.

• Collaborate with the development team to integrate testing into the Power BI development pipeline and

optimize testing processes.

• Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and best practices to enhance testing strategies.

• Documentation: Create and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test plans, and test reports

• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and

Environmental and Quality Management System, compliant with ISO standards

Skills/Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work

experience)

• Familiarity with programming languages and scripting

• Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases and test plans

• Experience with test automation frameworks and version control systems (GIT)

• Experience with Azure DevOps

• Proven experience in PowerBI testing and test automation

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Desirable

• ISTQB or other relevant certifications are a plus

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Knowledge of SQL and database testing
