Job Description:
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced solar field technician to join the team! This position will assist in the install of solar electrical equipment including installing conduit and grounding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to and communicate with the territory area manager regarding project status and other issues.
- Mount solar electrical equipment on the sides of homes, installing conduit, grounding, and BOS.
- Mounting solar racking on the rooftop of residential homes
- Operate up to a 30" walk behind trencher to dig trenches and install conductors and conduit both underground and above ground.
- Continuously climb ladders and transport materials from the ground to the roof.
- Troubleshoot pre-existing solar systems (both AC and DC)
- Utilize a smartphone to obtain photo documentation of all work performed.
Qualifications:
- Clean driving record and clean criminal background
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote field position
- Knowledge of NEC electrical codes and local jurisdictional requirements
