Job Description :
At Zep, the Marketing team serves as a central hub, connecting and coordinating with key business functions across the organization, including sales, channel marketing, product marketing, sourcing, manufacturing, creative services, compliance, R&D, and finance. Together, we drive product innovation and manage the lifecycle of our diverse product portfolio.
To support our growing customer base and expanding product offerings, we are seeking a Product Project Manager to join the Marketing team in this newly created role. The successful candidate will make an immediate impact on the business by overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of product-related projects.
The Product Project Manager will act as the bridge between product development, operations, sourcing and marketing, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong project management expertise, a deep understanding of the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) product lifecycle, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities :
- Define project goals, break them into smaller tasks, set timelines, assign responsibilities, and estimate resources to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify potential risks, create mitigation plans, monitor impacts, and keep stakeholders informed by addressing concerns and setting clear expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, supply chain, R&D, etc.) to coordinate efforts, resolve issues, and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop business cases and summaries to evaluate opportunities and support decision-making.
- Oversee product changes, including regulatory-driven updates, from initiation to launch, ensuring projects stay on track and meet requirements.
- Support new product and project launches across Retail, B2B, and Distribution channels while planning and managing inventory transitions during product phase-outs.
- Maintain and share detailed calendars for tracking new product launches internally and externally.
