Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Day Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for children. You will be responsible for co-leading a group of up to 20 children, providing support, and ensuring the well-being of campers while fostering their personal growth and development.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and engage with campers during various activities, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.
- Provide guidance and support to campers in developing social skills, teamwork, and conflict resolution.
- Monitor camper behavior and implement behavior management strategies as needed.
- Assist with daily camp operations, including setting up activities and maintaining a clean environment.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members to ensure a positive camp experience.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary and maintain a safe environment for all participants.
Qualifications
- Experience working with students or children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, or babysitting is preferred.
- CPR and first aid certification required, if you do not currently have it you can be certified during Orientation Week.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to educate and inspire campers of various ages.
- Ability to manage behaviors effectively while promoting a positive atmosphere.
- A passion for working with children and creating memorable experiences in a camp setting.
