Summary
Zepto Life Technology is seeking a Research Lab and Software Technician to play a key role in laboratory research while providing technical support for software and IT systems. This hybrid role involves conducting scientific experiments, managing lab equipment, and optimizing data automation to improve research efficiency. The ideal candidate has laboratory experience and a strong interest in data processing, automation, and troubleshooting software systems used in a research service setting.
Note: This is a part-time, per diem, temporary position with work assigned as needed. The role is expected to last through July 2025, with the possibility of an extension.
Essential Duties
- Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Generate and send accurate and timely invoices to customers.
- Monitor customer accounts for timely payments and follow up on overdue invoices.
- Reconcile customer payments and resolve discrepancies.
- Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approval.
- Prepare and execute payments to vendors via check, ACH, or wire transfer.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- General Accounting:
- Assist with maintaining the general ledger and reconciling accounts.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare basic financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards (e.g., GAAP).
- Additional Duties:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with filing and documentation for audits and compliance.
- Provide support to the finance team as needed, including data entry and reporting.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), Google Wokspace, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a part-time capacity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the biotech, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Experience with ERP systems or advanced accounting software.
- Certification or coursework in accounting (e.g., CPA candidate, bookkeeping certification).
Work Environment
- This is an onsite part-time position requiring 4 hours per day, up to 20 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling within standard business hours (e.g., 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM or as agreed upon).

Job Type
