What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acquisition Specialist position at Zero Point, Inc?
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: The Acquisition Specialist is responsible for supporting the research, development, and acquisition of several programs including CREW, JEOD, UWEOD, ExMed, ATA and other future programs that are assigned.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in planning, developing, and implementing strategic and business planning for the Naval Expeditionary Programs Offices. Assist in the development of business models, business and strategic plans, and business practices
- Implement and execute metrics by tracking acquisition program status, milestones, health, and progress against programmatic goals through an established real time dashboard such as Advana or other acquisition program tool
- Assist in the development of program roadmaps, plans, and schedules to meet the goals and objectives of NAVSEA Expeditionary programs and assist in the development of metrics to monitor progress against programmatic goals and knowledgeable of novel contracting strategies the government can utilize to move at the speed of innovation
- Provide the expertise to assist in developing a Total Ownership Cost (TOC) reduction plan for each new-start program that identifies actions to be taken during the research and development phase and during the investment phase to achieve Operation and Support (O&S) cost reduction.
- Support the preparation of procurement documentation, including Procurement Requests (PR), Performance Work Statements (PWSs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs)
- Experience with Commercial Solutions Openings (CSOs), Broad Agency Announcements (BAA), Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) contracts, Middle Tier Acquisitions (MTA), Other Transaction Authorities (OTA), and other FAR based contracts is required.
- Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment, cost performance, schedule or expenditures
- Provide research and prepare presentations to satisfy a wide range of briefing requirements including program overviews, reviews, milestones, symposiums, meetings, and conferences.
- Report findings and recommendations to the Government
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 10 or more years of relevant experience
- Defense Acquisition University (DAU) ACQ 1010
- Secret security clearance required
