Zeta Global is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Employee Relations Specialist to join our People & Culture team. This individual will play a critical role in fostering a fair, inclusive, and high-performing workplace by managing employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and promoting a positive employee experience.
The ideal candidate is a problem solver, strong communicator, and trusted advisor who can effectively handle workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation while partnering closely with HR leaders, managers, and employees reporting to the VP, US People Partners.

Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Investigations
- Conduct thorough, fair, and impartial workplace investigations related to employee concerns, policy violations, and performance issues.
- Create and formalize a streamlined, reliable evaluation, assessment process for the HRBPs and Managers to follow.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to managers and employees on employee relations issues, performance management, and conflict resolution.
- Maintain detailed documentation of investigations, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards.
- Advise leaders on corrective actions and disciplinary measures, ensuring alignment with company policies and best practices.
- Design and own off-boarding process (inclusive of termination) to automate and streamline documentation and experience.
- Lead and manage any shifting re-organizations and people impacts.
- Interpret and enforce company policies, ensuring consistent application across all teams and departments.
- Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring HR policies and procedures remain compliant.
- Manage required global compliance trainings.
- Partner with Legal and HR teams to mitigate risks and proactively address workplace issues.
- Assist in developing and updating employee handbooks, policies, and guidelines to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
- Act as a trusted resource for employees, providing guidance on workplace concerns and promoting a positive work environment.
- Handle exit interviews and analysis to data and report for trends.
- Support initiatives that foster employee engagement, inclusion, and well-being.
- Assist in designing training programs for managers and employees on topics such as workplace ethics, conflict resolution, and compliance.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and leadership to address trends in employee concerns and proactively implement solutions.
- Maintain accurate employee relations case records and provide trend analysis to leadership.
- Leverage HR data and analytics to identify patterns, improve processes, and drive data-informed decision-making.
- Assist in HR audits and compliance reviews, ensuring all employee relations matters are handled with integrity and confidentiality.
- Assist with new hire onboarding (offer letters, introductions)
- 3-5 years of experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of employment laws, workplace policies and HR best practices.
- Experience conducting workplace investigations and conflict resolution.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to quickly identify patterns in workplace issues and implement preventative strategies.
- Tough skin—ability to handle complex, high-stakes situations without becoming overwhelmed.
- Strong emotional intelligence and resilience—able to balance empathy with the ability to stay composed under stress.
- Tech-savvy mindset—experience with HRIS, case management tools, and process automation.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to review trends, generate reports, and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to push back on leadership and provide direct, constructive feedback, even in high-pressure situations a plus.
- Experience working in fast-paced, high-growth, or tech-driven environments is a plus.
