Quality Technician Hrly

Position Summary : Perform inspections and conduct audits to ensure that parts meet quality specifications and that processes are being followed in accordance with the quality management system.

Position Responsibilities :

• Maintains a safe work environment and complies with all EHS policies and procedures.
• Maintains conformance to IATF 16949 quality management standards.
• Perform basic quality inspections using CMM, gauges, and other devices or equipment.
• Perform incoming inspections, in-process inspections, dock audits, process audit and create quality alerts.
• Maintain traceability of parts by serial number by using bar code scanning equipment.
• Initiate, perform and manage sorts, scrap material processing and production set ups.
• Maintain accurate records for poke yoke checks, process audits, dock audits, sort check list and Defective Material Notices to supply base.
• Work closely with Process Quality Engineers (PQE), Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE), suppliers and coworkers for component quality improvements and root cause analysis.
• Troubleshoot and support the proper maintenance and calibration of inspection equipment.
• Strictly adheres to and supports company policies, safety regulations, quality processes and 5S initiatives.
• Understand and comply with IATF 16949 requirements.
• Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and work assignments.
• Communicate issues between shifts and escalates to leadership as necessary.
