Reporting to the VP Product Safety and Regulatory Office, the Director- Safety Office will have 5 global direct reports (PPAC Managers) and will be responsible for the oversight and management of the ZF Safety Office and PPAC process within Global ZF, including responsibility for potential product safety and regulatory compliance issues within the PPAC and PPDB processes.
What you can look forward to as the Director- Safety Office:
- Development, updating, and implementation of ZF policies relating to the safety office, including PPAC and PPDB topics.
- Management of the safety office personnel including PPAC managers, providing required supervision and direction.
- Manage and facilitate the PPDB including establishing the agenda and leading the meetings.
- Provide the Safety Office vote for PPAC issues at the PPAC Voting level and PPDB level as delegated.
- Manage the communication of PPAC issues with ZF management and corporate communications.
- Promote compliance of the PPAC policy within ZF through training, monitoring of conformance within the divisions, and reporting of PPAC performance.
- Proactively provide input to the organization as necessary to reduce potential sources of PPAC issues and manage communication of lessons learned and appropriate sharing of PPAC information within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Your Profile as the Director- Safety Office:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- at least 10 years of experience in quality management with profound knowledge in PPAC management
- At least 5 years of experience managing a global team of direct and indirect reports
- Experience in the Automotive industry
- General understanding of legal/regulatory requirements applicable to ZF in multiple jurisdictions.
- General understanding of ZF products across all Divisions.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Logical thought process with the ability to quickly analyze various potential points of view.
- Ability to successfully manage and coordinate multiple ongoing open topics in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills
