The accountant will accurately and efficiently maintain and distribute financial records, payroll records, vendor payments and key dashboards. The ideal candidate will be proficient in analyzing and reporting financial data and will actively assist and communicate with business partners throughout the company regarding any financial or payroll research needed. Maintain the financial records of the company, including posting of journal entries, Prepare accurate monthly financial statements Process bi-weekly payroll Review and manage employee payroll deductions Maintain HRIS system to ensure accurate payroll processing and posting to ledger Prepare accounting reports related to payroll Record cash receipts and bank deposits Tag and monitor fixed assets and equipment Compile monthly reconciliations of credit card accounts, including allocation of expenses and tracking receipts Compile and update monthly key-account reconciliations, loan amortization schedules and other financial schedules Maintain financial records for inventory Monitor cash flow and maximize cash balances Ensure accurate and timely compliance with all duties related to IRS, Workers Compensation, Department of Labor and other regulatory bodies Ensure timely processing of all year-end documents including but not limited to W-2s, 1099s, etc. Performance of operations audits for other departments Assist with application, set-up and maintenance of debt Prepare other financial reports as requested Assist with any audits and tax filing support requests Maintain and create updated policies and internal controls to ensure compliance to all policies Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field Experience with, and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principals Ability to research, analyze and retrieve data necessary to complete duties Experience / proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office suite Advanced Excel experience (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) Ability to pass criminal background check and credit check
