We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of press machinery, ensuring high-quality production standards while adhering to safety protocols. This role is crucial in the manufacturing process, requiring attention to detail and a commitment to excellence. The schedule is Monday – Thursday, 6 am to 4:30 pm. Depending on the workload, Fridays might be a required worked day, but it would most likely be a half day, and if the employee has met their 40 hours for the week, Friday’s hours would be OT. Pay is $17.00 - $18.00 per hour.
Duties
- Operate press machinery efficiently and safely to produce high-quality products.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on press equipment, including troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Utilize basic math skills to measure and cut materials accurately.
- Collaborate with team members in a factory setting to optimize workflow and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety regulations.
- Assist in packaging finished products for shipment, ensuring proper handling and labeling.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge and understanding of tooling to enhance production efficiency.
- Work with CNC machines and logic controllers as needed during the manufacturing process.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Press Operator or in a similar role within a warehouse or factory environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with milling machines and basic mechanical operations is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards in manufacturing.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically under pressure.
- A proactive approach to learning new machinery and techniques within the production environment.
