I'm looking for 1-2 new tutors in each of the following areas:

Oceanside/Carlsbad, Escondido/San Marcos, El Cajon/East County, and Chula Vista/Eastlake

The ideal tutor that I'm looking for needs all the above, plus:

- Be flexible with hours offered for the clients.

Duties:

- Provide individualized tutoring to students of all ages and abilities, including those with special needs or learning disabilities.
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students.
- Utilize a range of instructional strategies, including traditional teaching methods and innovative learning technologies.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed to ensure student success.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement a comprehensive learning plan for each student.
- Use classroom management techniques to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that incorporate various learning materials and activities.
- Conduct assessments to measure student learning and identify areas where additional support is needed.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular progress reports to parents and teachers.

Requirements:

- Experience working with children and/or adults in a classroom or tutoring setting.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development and instructional strategies.
- Experience with learning technology and the ability to effectively integrate technology into lesson plans.
- Experience working with students with special needs or learning disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of individual students.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Current certification in special education or a related field is a plus!
- Experience with childcare is a plus.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.50 - $51.35 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 20 per week
