The Business Development Manager will be responsible is responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities within the federal government sector. This role involves building relationships with key government agencies and industry partners, developing strategic plans, and leading capture efforts for federal contracts, involving strategic planning, market analysis, and targeted client acquisition efforts. Success in this role will require a keen understanding of market trends, competitive insights, and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within federal space with a background in business development within the federal sector, with knowledge of government contracting. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with federal regulations (FAR/DFAR), acquisition strategy, and government procurement cycles.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage at multiple levels within federal agencies.
- Analytical: Proficiency in assessing complex information and building strategies to optimize business growth.
