Preschool Teacher

DESCRIPTION: Our Pre-School seeks an experienced/Licensed teacher for our Pre-K class.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Development:

o Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.

o Plan activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and problem-solving skills, and integrate literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies

o Document and display children's work to reflect their learning processes and achievements.

2. Environment as the Third Teacher:

o Maintain a classroom environment that is aesthetically pleasing, organized, and conducive to learning.

o Utilize natural materials and open-ended resources to provoke children's inquiry and exploration.

o Arrange the physical space to promote collaboration, communication, and independence among students.

3. Collaboration and Communication:

o Collaborate with fellow teachers to align curriculum goals and instructional strategies.

o Maintain regular communication with parents, fostering a partnership in their children’s education.

o Foster a sense of belonging for our families, and promote their engagement with the classroom and school.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

· 2 years of experience in a preschool setting

· A keen understanding of child development and social constructivism

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children.

· Passion for creating a child-centered, inquiry-based learning environment.

SALARY

Competitive salary, based on experience
