About the Position
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Civil Medical Negligence Defense Associate Attorney to join our legal team. Our main fields of practice include defending medical malpractice. This position will involve independently handling all aspects of litigation, including : discovery; motion practice; taking / defending depositions; court appearances; trial preparation; and trial work. Given the nature of our practice, you will have an opportunity to be in the courtroom and be involved in jury trials on a regular and frequent basis. We offer a competitive compensation package based.

Responsibilities
Strong working knowledge of civil procedure and evidence.
Experience drafting pleadings, discovery (both requests and responses), motions, settlement demands, and mediation briefs.
Experience working with clients directly.
Ability to independently identify issues and to litigate strategically.
Strong legal and factual investigation skills.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Admitted to practice in the state of California.
Eager to track billable time.
Experience in summarizing discovery and medical records
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and four-year college degree.
- Admission to the California state bar and in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years civil litigation experience in California state and federal courts. Previous
experience in civil litigation, or medical malpractice preferred.

Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
