ZimZee Recruiting seeks a highly skilled PCB Design Engineer with expertise in hardware, particularly HDI PCB Layout experience. This engineer will collaborate with our client to develop advanced embedded hardware systems in the Lehi area.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and test cutting-edge embedded hardware systems.
- Create and maintain HDI and non-HDI PCB designs in Altium Designer.
- Troubleshoot, integrate, and verify hardware functionality.
- Participate in peer reviews across engineering teams.
- Document design decisions and testing outcomes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product alignment.
- Work closely with external partners like contract manufacturers and PCB vendors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- At least 7 years of experience designing electronics hardware.
- 3 years of HDI PCB layout experience with complex stack-up configurations.
- Expertise in mixed-signal circuit design.
- Proficiency in Altium Designer and experience with Altium 365 Workspaces.
- Strong debugging skills using oscilloscopes, logic/protocol analyzers.
- Familiarity with interfaces: USB, SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC, DAC.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Ability to anticipate firmware integration needs during hardware development.
- Strong documentation, planning, and communication skills.
