General Purchasing Specialist

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent automobile manufacturer in the Ellabell, GA area, is seeking General Purchasing Specialist. This critical role involves managing vendors, tracking inventory, and forecasting material needs for production.

Essential Responsibilities

Pay: $70-$75k (Opportunities for relocation)

• Manage purchasing activities for materials like steel, aluminum, paints, and equipment.
• Place orders according to manufacturing schedules.
• Research and evaluate vendors for best price and quality.
• Prepare and implement Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
• Negotiate purchases and maintain competitive pricing.
• Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance.
• Manage vendor data in the ERP system.
  
  

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (any major).
• Proficient in Excel and computer skills.
• Understanding of market trends and experience in General Purchasing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Experience in the automotive industry.
• Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation - desired.
