Railing Estimator

Zing Recruiting, in partnership with a prominent company in the architectural manufacturing industry, is seeking a skilled Railing Estimator to join their team in Fishers, IN! This is a direct hire opportunity on 1st shift, offering competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Railing Estimator Job Summary

Pay: $75,000 - $85,000 per year (based on experience)

Shift: 1st Shift

• Perform calculations for railing footage, safety factors (OSHA regulations), and mounting conditions.
• Review RFIs, drawings, and specifications to prepare scopes of work and bid proposals.
• Accurately estimate labor, services, and materials for custom projects.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to meet project timelines and requirements.
• Conduct detailed takeoffs from technical drawings and architectural renderings.
• Assess cost-effectiveness by tracking actual costs relative to bids.
• Maintain documentation and regularly update project costs and expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and building codes for all estimates.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
  
  

Railing Estimator Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction or custom manufacturing estimating.
• Expertise in reading and interpreting contracts, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (experience with take-off software a plus).
• Strong math, technical writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates/projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Collaborative mindset with strong organizational skills.
• Familiarity with fabrication methods (grinding, buffing, galvanizing, powder coating) preferred.
