Cosmetology Apprentice

Zinke Hair Studio Aveda salons located in The St. John’s Town Center and Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking a motivated and passionate Salon Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the beauty industry while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. A perfect job for someone well into cosmetology school or a recent cosmetology graduate. As a Salon Apprentice, you will assist with various salon services, learn essential techniques, and develop your skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed stylists with hair cutting, coloring, and styling services.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tools, workstations, and salon areas.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with salon guests.
• Support retail sales efforts by promoting products and assisting guests in product selection.
• Gain knowledge in color theory and hair cutting and styling.
• Participate in our award winning in house education program.

Requirements

• Must have a passion for the beauty industry and a desire to learn.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
• Ability to sanitize tools and maintain a clean work environment.
• Licensed or in process
• A basic understanding of color theory, shampooing and styling hair.
• Willingness to learn new skills related to hair and business.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 35 per week
