Position Summary
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is a key contributor to Zinpro’s success by supervising and executing the daily activities required to meet all expectations of safety, environmental, quality and production for the manufacturing plant. Work will center around training employees, planning, assigning, directing and executing work, assisting with appraising performance, promoting compliance, investigating complaints, resolving problems, and facilitating communication. Success in this position requires the ability to work with complex machinery and perform physically demanding work while ensuring the safety of self and others. This role is based in a Zinpro manufacturing plant.
Essential Functions
- Reviews/schedules production process orders; optimizing production continuity, customer needs, OT minimalization, maximizing OEE, and Maintenance downtime planning.
- Ensures accurate raw material and supply counts are provided for planning
- Orders/schedules raw materials to run production process orders.
- R&D projects – planning, scheduling, ordering raw materials to process.
- R&D inventory – manages inventory of various R&D raw materials, test products, test blends, and through use of repair kit can create modified test blends. Ensures test products are properly packaged and sent to customer.
- Manages raw material and supply cycle counts and their accuracy; and acts as plant liaison with corporate accounting related to cycle counts and inventory.
- Plans, assigns, and directs the specific tasks Operators execute to meet the expected plan communicated from Management. As required, fills in and executes tasks needed to meet daily plans. Responsible for reactor operation, drying, blending, packaging, shipping and receiving.
- Identifies needs to accomplish each requirement and executes workflow (report, work order, proposals, etc.) as required to address needs.
- Drives/owns performance of production metrics for the site.
- Directs, plans, and assigns the specific tasks warehouse, packaging and blending operators execute to meet the weekly shipping/receiving plan communicated from management. As required, fills in and executes tasks needed to meet daily plans.
- Ensures the accuracy and completeness of production documents and ensures confirmation in the system for the activities completed each day.
- Leads first investigation within 24 hours for every issue that arises from execution of the daily workflow
- Supports, recommends, and enforces measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
- Supports and suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a production environment or warehouse operation
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform basic troubleshooting
- Basic computer skills (PC) and basic working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Preferred:
- Post-secondary education
- Experience in a related production environment or industry such as chemical, feed, paper, ethanol, or dairy manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and perform maintenance-related tasks
- Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or inventory management systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- Experience supporting ISO 9000 Quality Systems, GMP’s, or Lean Manufacturing methods

Schedule Requirements
This position is expected to work within core business hours and requires participation in after-hours meetings with plant personnel on other shifts.
Travel Requirements
This position will work primarily at their home manufacturing plant facility and may engage in occasional company-sponsored travel.
