Position: SAP ABAP Development
Location: Millington, TN
Duration: Full-time / Long-Term Contract
ABAP
a. ABAP Development
Design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs, reports, forms, and interfaces based on business requirements. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable ABAP code adhering to best practices and SAP development guidelines as well as CNIC-established ABAP coding standards.

Develop and maintain enhancements to SAP standard applications, ensuring they align with business processes.
Perform unit testing and debugging of ABAP programs and resolve any technical issues or defects.
Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions.
Develop custom SAP objects like reports (ALV, classic), BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, and RFCs.
Implement and manage SAP forms (e.g., SmartForms, Adobe Forms) for various business processes such as invoicing and purchase orders.
B. Integration & Interfaces:
Develop and manage interfaces between SAP and external systems (e.g., via IDoc, ALE, File-based integrations, Web services).
Utilize ABAP, PI/PO, and other integration technologies to implement custom function modules and map standard IDOCs to outbound interface files through logical filenames, ensuring seamless data flow between systems.
Work within CNIC pre-designed framework for processing hundreds of inbound daily FI files from completely disparate POS systems worldwide. This framework consists of a single, custom ABAP program that administers all file handling and processing through the use of custom database tables, function modules and dynamic code driven from the filename.
Support the established Developer s Guide used by CNIC vendors which includes command-defined required file layouts tied to custom structures defined in SAP
Develop and implement HR Features related to transaction PE03, utilizing ABAP to customize and optimize transaction processes as required.
Configure and develop solutions using HRBEN0052, leveraging ABAP to produce IDOCs and ensure proper functionality based on defined features and business requirements.
Support function modules customizing HRBEN0052 that are called dynamically so that the code is completely driven from the data found in the features at run time. Support this in such a way that new benefits can be handled strictly through configuration without the requirement of ABAP code changes
Support the integration of SAP modules with third-party applications and ensure data consistency across systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing interfaces and integrations.
Support multiple IDOC interfaces from the POS systems.
c. Performance Tuning:
Optimize ABAP code and improve performance of reports, programs, and forms, particularly for large data sets and high-volume transactions.
Conduct performance analysis and provide recommendations for tuning and optimization of existing programs.
d. SAP Upgrades and System Support:
Participate in SAP upgrades, migrations, and patch implementations.
Provide technical support for existing systems, troubleshooting errors and performing root cause analysis to resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with other SAP technical teams (Basis, Security, etc.) to ensure system integrity and performance. N4571A-25-Q-0067 Page 7 of 38
e. Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed documentation of code, custom developments, and enhancements for future reference and compliance purposes.
Develop and maintain technical specification documents, detailing system requirements, design considerations, and implementation strategies.
Prepare time estimates for development requests.
Provide regular status reports on development progress, issues, and resolutions to the project management team.
f. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with functional consultants, business users, and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of solutions.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and internal teams as needed.
g. Assist with system migration tasks and plans, including the evaluation, preparation, and execution of data conversion strategies, ensuring seamless transition of existing systems to new environments while providing ongoing support for system stability and data integrity throughout the migration process.
