Status of Employment: Part-Time (non-exempt)
Supervised by: Golf Operations Manager
General Statement of Duties: Responsible for performing a variety of duties related to ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction at Shepherd’s Crook Golf Courses.
Qualifications of Required Knowledge and Abilities: Fundamental knowledge of inside golf operations and the delivering of exceptional guest services required. Golf tournament, league management and World Golf Handicapping is a plus. Computer skills required. A high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license and a reliable source of transportation is required.
Hours: This position will work on average, 16-32 hours per week Monday through Sunday, depending on the needs of the Park District. Must be able to work a variable schedule. Work schedule to be approved by the Golf Operations Mgr.
Duties and Responsibilities – Essentials Functions
- Greet guests on the phone and in-person in a friendly manner while projecting a professional image.
- Check-in golfers and communicate information to the Starter and other staff as needed.
- Maximize daily sales through the effective management of the tee sheet.
- Reconcile daily sales, league registrations, event entries, etc.
- Assist Outside Service staff as needed.
- Assist Food and Beverage staff as needed.
- Assist Golf Maintenance staff as needed.
- Effectively communicates, both verbally and in writing with supervisor, staff and public.
- Ensures that the building and work areas are maintained and organized professionally and in a positive and safe atmosphere.
- Responsible for understanding the importance of safety issues at the Park District, for adhering to the safety manual and associated policies toward achieving the safety goals of the Park District.
- Follow procedures for opening and closing the facility.

- Work to achieve goals and objectives of the Safety Committee of Zion Park District.
