What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician (Colorado) position at ZL Chemicals LTD?
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the frac site day to day customer technical support from ZL Chemicals related to our range of mobile chemical treatment units.
Build a strong working relationship with frac crew staff and offer frequent site support during routine equipment operation and maintenance.
Oversee the operational training of customer frac crew staff at a number of frac sites.
Understand all aspects of our mobile chemical treatment units enabling basic troubleshooting corrective actions to be accomplished.
Have an ability to install, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair various equipment types in our units including:
Flow meters
Pressure transducers
Level & rotating sensors
Electric motors, pumps & augers
Data acquisition systems
Complete regional preventative maintenance schedules and document findings.
Ensure frac site daily reports are written and reported to the supervisor in a timely basis.
Feedback to the regional supervisor any improvement ideas or customer feedback.
Qualifications:
Experience in a junior oil and gas service-based field technical role(s).
An understanding and experience working at frac sites in the USA for oil and gas service companies.
Ability to disassemble or repair motors, pumps, flow, level and pressure sensors, etc.
Understand electronic principles, circuits, and systems.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work under time pressures.
Valid driver's license with a clean record and willingness to travel to different job sites across the region and beyond. Estimated field travel time is approximately 70%.
Ability to pass the company's drug and alcohol test.
