What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vice President, Operations position at ZL Chemicals LTD?
The successful candidate will be required to:
- Build an efficient field service team to provide services to customers in the oil and gas industry, inside and outside of US.
- Understand friction reducer technology, support the projects operation in the field.
- Train customers on products, ensure smooth operation on location.
- Trouble shooting, preventing issues from happening during operation.
- Lead and manage Operations at the site focusing on safety, reliably, and efficiently producing and shipping quality products in a timely manner.
- Coach the team the operating discipline and the accountability and adherence to all procedures.
- Manage and optimize unit operating costs, implement cost reduction measures (both fixed and variable), and increase the efficiency and overall output of the workforce.
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement product, quality and customer-service standards; resolve problems.
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
- Manage daily operation of warehouse, logistics and production etc.
- Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations
- Serve as primary point of contact when there are customer issues related to product quality, customer service, or accidents and mishaps on-site. In particular, this includes any issues on-site at client facilities.
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and advise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Work closely with the production team to ensure security of supply
- Complete any other tasks assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years experience in operations management.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular, full-time basis without restrictions.
- Technical understanding of field operations, maintenance, utility power and optimization related to multi-stage fracture systems.
- Ability to travel 30 – 50% of time primarily within North America.
Preferred/Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of drag reducer technology and their application in the field.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation development skills.
- Related work experience with Frac Chemical and associated services.
