Part-Time Arts Center House Manager

Overview:

Join our team at Zoellner Arts Center as a House Manager, where you'll play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our patrons during a variety of events. This position involves overseeing all Front of House activities, managing staff, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Management-

• Oversee assigned events, ensuring the highest standards of customer service for our patrons.
• Monitor patron activities including entry, concessions, catering, parking, ushering, and merchandise.
• Act as the liaison between patrons and the Production Manager, ticket office, and other staff.
• Address and resolve patron concerns, ensuring safety and security.
• Supervise FOH volunteers and part-time staff, providing guidance and support.
• Secure the venue before, during, and after events, enforcing ADA regulations and posting relevant signage.
• Train staff on equipment usage and assist with school daytime performances as needed.

Safety and Compliance-

• Administer emergency procedures and ensure adherence to building policies.
• Refresh FOH staff and volunteers on safety and evacuation responsibilities before each event.
• Coordinate medical assistance and CPR as required, reporting to LUPD when necessary.
• Monitor and report unsafe conditions or required building repairs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of event management or related experience.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Time Commitment:

• 6-12 hours per week, based on the production schedule.
