Position Description:
The Vice President HR Operations and Technology is a newly created role that will be a key member of the global HR leadership team, reporting directly to the EVP, CHRO. This strategic leader will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective delivery of HR shared services, payroll, HR technology, workforce analytics, HR policy and employee relations.
This leader will be tech savvy, staying abreast of technology trends that enable our strategy. With a focus on a high-quality colleague experience, this role will drive our evolving HR and payroll processes, data and workforce analytics, and our HR technology. Through direct teams and the broader matrixed HR organization, in addition to our vendor partners, this role will maintain current services while identifying opportunities to improve the hire to retire cycle within Zoetis.
A key leader within HR, this role will manage and develop a global team of 30 HR professionals.
This leader will bring a highly collaborative approach and play a key role on the HR leadership team, partnering closely with peers and business leaders, role modeling our core beliefs and driving a strong inclusion and development culture across our team.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Technology
- Identify HR and technology trends that can be adopted to advance the business and HR strategies, including the evolution of Gen AI
- Execute Zoetis HR's Workday (HRIS) roadmap, including identifying and evaluating emerging capabilities to drive Workday effectiveness and optimization
- Working with Zoetis Tech and Digital (ZTD), ensure seamless integration across other technologies and payroll vendors
- Design and deliver reporting to create value and insights for HR Business Partners
Workforce Analytics
- Develop and implement workforce analytics to support Zoetis' strategic priorities, providing data-driven insights to inform our HR strategy
- Build capability in developing and applying advanced analytical techniques to interpret workforce data. This may involve using statistical methods, predictive modeling, and data visualization tools to uncover trends and insights.
HR Operations/Shared Services
- Lead our US and India-based HR Operations/Zoetis Colleague Services to establish and evolve standards for service delivery model aligned with the business and colleague need, including expansion to new processes and new geographies
- Develop a metric-driven approach to continuous improvement to understand trends, identify and resolve issues
- Develop the roadmap to leverage technology to enhance the employee experience and support the organization's strategic goals
- Foster a positive colleague experience by implementing best practices and effective processes to manage the employee life cycle employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding and employee records management
- Drive a metric-driven continuous improvement agenda, automating and optimizing HR processes for better efficiency and service delivery
Global Payroll
- Drive improvement and efficiencies in end to end payroll processing
- Ensure the current global payroll strategy continues to align with Zoetis HR strategic priorities, leading the Global Payroll team through continuous improvement
- Collaborate with ZTD and Finance to ensure global payroll vendors can adapt to changing Zoetis technology
Employee Relations
- Continue to develop the Employee Relations function to provide effective partnership with HRBPs globally
HR Policy
- Act as HR Policy SME to evolve global HR policies as needed
Qualifications & Skills:
- 15 years in a global role within HR operations, shared services, payroll management, workforce analytics and HR technology (preferably Workday) in a complex, multinational corporation.
- Experience in creating shared service HR models tailored to different country sizes.
- Skilled in process maps, RACI, project charters, and project management, including SLA creation.
- Proven leadership of global teams and collaboration across matrix teams and vendors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and stakeholder influence.
- Ability to build consultative business partnerships with key stakeholders globally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for HR operations, payroll, and HR technology data.
- Experience in data analytics, extracting insights, and driving impactful business initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Goal-oriented with a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Proactive, highly organized, and process-oriented.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
