We're looking for energetic and experienced individuals who are great with people, clear communicators, and can confidently engage with clients.
About Us: Zoom Room is a leader in positive reinforcement dog training. Our mission is to help dogs build confidence and learn new behaviors in a supportive, step-by-step environment. We offer a variety of classes, including obedience, agility, puppy training, enrichment workshops, and more. With small class sizes, our trainers provide individualized attention to each pup and their owner.
Position Overview: As a Professional Dog Trainer & Sales Associate, you will:
- Lead engaging group classes and workshops using positive reinforcement methods.
- Conduct private lessons and create personalized training plans for dogs.
- Assess new clients and their dogs, providing guidance on the best training options.
- Supervise social events and playgroups to ensure a fun and safe environment.
- Promote and sell retail products, including training tools and class packages.
- Assist with daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining a clean and organized facility.
- Customer outreach by phone, text and email daily.
- Engage with the community through grassroots outreach efforts.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Previous customer service experience is required.
- Outgoing, personable, and strong communication skills.
- Willing to complete our proprietary training program (travel required, expenses covered).
- Basic computer proficiency (Apple products preferred).
- Genuine interest in canine behavior and a commitment to ongoing education.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work weekday and weekend shifts.
- Commitment to at least one year in the role and willingness to undergo a background check and sign a Non-Compete Agreement.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in dog training or working with dogs in group/private settings.
- Background in facilitating group discussions or training sessions.
- Certifications such as CPDT-KA, Animal Behavior College, or Karen Pryor Academy are a plus!
