We are looking for an experienced manager to maintain the ZoomAround standards by managing the day-to- day operations for our North Carolina location. This position is responsible for overseeing all Outer Banks, NC customer service, vehicle quality, routing, employee scheduling, reservations, and managing project deadlines. The Operations Manager will also ensure a clean and safe work environment, conduct daily/weekly/monthly meetings to ensure overall service quality and communicate to the ZoomAround leadership team and customers.

Our Operations Manager is critical in maintaining the integrity of our craftsmanship for our customers and the ZoomAround culture for all associates. Additionally, in the Off-Season this position is responsible for building new partnerships with local businesses.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  • Planning, training, and directing up to 8 direct labor employees who perform various repairs and custom rebuilds.
  • Ensuring a safe environment for employees through adherence to safety policies, assessing and eliminating hazards, improving housekeeping standards, conducting incident investigations, and implementing corrective action.
  • Planning and executing production schedules to meet customer requirements to meet delivery and quality requirements including accurate reports and other paperwork required by the contract. Reviewing daily achievement of targets and report variances.
  • Recommending and implementing strategies to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Ensuring accurate inventory control of all materials used as LSV component repairs within the department and minimizing inventory held through efficient planning.
  • Developing and realize productivity improvements through lean initiatives, Standard Work

Instructions, and process improvements.

  • Motivating, monitoring, and mentoring employees regarding work-related issues and performance. Assess workforce skills and initiate cross training programs, as necessary.
  • Planning and recommending capital expenditures necessary to improve product flow.
  • Ability to manage inventory and asset management systems.
  • Responsible for Duck, NC location’s Profit & Loss as well overseeing Payroll Budget

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overall day-to-day operations
  • Oversee and track all In-Service and In-Maintenance golf carts (LSV’s) and their statuses
  • Manage, direct, mentor and oversee personnel
  • Oversee and track all In-Service and In-Maintenance golf carts (LSV’s) and their statuses
  • Responsible for parts and tools Procurement & Inventory Management
  • Responsible for key Vendor Relationships
  • Asset Management (Tools & Hardware)
  • Shop Quality Control & Safety
  • Facility Management including Appearance and Cleanliness
  • Conduct Team Meetings on organizational vision, safety & performance
  • Establish goals and reporting for personnel
  • Report to Executive Team on team and individual performance
  • Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reporting
  • Hiring key personnel for detailing, driving, delivering carts
  • Oversee weekly personnel scheduling and payroll
  • Work with Customer Service to ensure timely delivery of Rentals
  • Oversee Routing of Deliveries & Pickups
  • Oversee Store’s Profit & Loss and Payroll Budget
  • Responsible for the in-season and off-season storage, security, and esthetic maintenance of the vehicles
  • Ensure all registrations and inspections are up to date
  • Oversee cart availability and double bookings

OFF-SEASON MARKETING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible maintaining key relationships with local partners
  • Adding additional partnerships via our referral program
  • Distributing marketing materials to local businesses
  • Ensuring inventory of marketing materials is always stocked
  • Providing breakfast & lunches to local partners
  • Taking vendors to breakfast/lunch/dinner as needed
  • Getting ZoomAround into reservation confirmation emails, pre-arrival emails, & welcome bag

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Management Experience 5 years (preferred)
  • Prior leadership experience, leading a team (8 employees) and multiple projects
  • Demonstrated successful management of stressful situations
  • Ability to work 8:30AM-5:30PM Monday – Friday & Weekends as needed
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel, Email, Google Sheets, & Point of Sales Systems
  • Previous experience overseeing Procurement & Inventory Management
  • Vendor Management and Relations experience
  • Ability to Manage and Maintain Facilities & Scheduling
  • Customer Service experience making and scheduling Reservations

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and place supplies up to 50 pounds without assistance
  • Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
  • Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Climb up and down ladders to retrieve stock and inventory merchandise
  • Communicate effectively in person, by telephone, or by using telecommunications equipment
  • Enters and locates information on computer
  • Visually verifies information, often in small print
  • Presents information to small and large groups
  • Safely operates motor vehicles (Trucks, Trailers, Low Speed Vehicles, & Golf Carts)
  • Experience operating forklifts
  • Experience driving pickup trucks with attached trailers

SCHEDULE

In-Season: Thursday to Tuesday
Off-Season: Monday to Friday 8:30AM – 5:30PM, holiday coverage if needed

Reminder : ZoomAround’s busiest days of the year are holidays and holiday weeks. We highly encourage taking time off in the Off-Season as there will be limited to no rentals during this time.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
