What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Integration Intern position at Zoox?
As a Systems Integration Intern on the Software HIL (Hardware in the Loop) team, you will be a key part of the testing infrastructure at Zoox. This is a multidisciplinary position, often combining knowledge of software, electrical, and mechanical systems. A primary focus for the Software HIL team is to develop test assets used company-wide to validate AI, computer vision, and firmware algorithms. This will require prototyping new hardware designs for test assets, automation & tooling development, and hardware / software testing & debugging. As an intern, you will be mentored and provided opportunities to learn new skills from SW development to test frameworks of the design-build process.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
- Working towards a degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, Robotics, or a related discipline
- Project experience involving software development (Python or C )
- Project experience designing, debugging, and / or testing hardware
- Strong communication skills, enjoys learning and can adapt quickly to changes
- Involvement in extracurricular projects relating to automotive, control systems, electrical, robotics, or software development
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
