Zuern Building Products is currently looking for the right person to join our Woodworking Shop team at our Menomonee Falls location. This is a full-time position. Must be available Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Serve existing and new customer accounts by analyzing cabinetry work orders, planning daily travel schedule, investigating errors and/or modifications and resolving issues.
- Order and gather components and parts for cabinetry.
- Document service actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
- Maintain rapport with customers and team members by addressing complaints and identifying solutions related to cabinetry.
- Perform cabinetry field measurements and communicate with the cabinetry design staff.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities across all lines of cabinetry.
- Assist the shop team with assembly, clean-up, specialty projects, and duties that may include shipping, receiving, and inventory when the schedule or workload demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Must have 3 years of experience in the building materials industry or finish trade or equivalent education, training and/or related work experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in the English language.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to read a ruler, tape measure, and understand units of measure.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the ability to twist and bend.
- Required working knowledge of power tools.
- Alert, focused and detail-oriented.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- Self-starter who works well independently as well as the ability to work well with others when needed.
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful.
- Forklift certification may be required.
