Zuern Building Products is currently looking for the right person to join our driving team at our Menomonee Falls location. This is a full-time position. Must be available Monday through Friday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
- Delivering material to construction job sites with non-CDL trucks.
- Loads and unloads materials from trucks and moves material to designated areas within the shop and at customer construction job sites.
- Compares identifying information and counts, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, Purchase Orders, Picking Slips or other records.
- Determines method of shipment.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons and/or millwork and cabinetry.
- Attaches, tapes or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto cartons and/or millwork and cabinetry.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Routes items to departments.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operates a tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Basic housekeeping. ie: sweep aisles, straighten piles, pick up scraps.
- Care of product against damage.
- Attention to safety procedures at all times.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in loading the correct product.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission box van.
- Forklift certification required.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with the ability to twist and bend.
- Alert, focused and detail-oriented.
- Basic reading, writing comprehension and math skills required.
- Physically and mentally fit.
- Self starter who works well independently as well as the ability to work well with others when needed.
