Description
Our team is seeking a full-time Intake Triage Specialist to work with clients in completing preliminary screening and initial evaluation. This position is responsible for assessing urgency of appointment needed, completing required documentation and referring clients to appropriate services.
Responsibilities
- Welcome callers, referrals and walk in appointments in a cordial and timely manner.
- Be proficient and knowledgeable of agency services, eligibility criteria and funding options.
- Complete the preliminary screening, assign the client to a caseload and make a follow up appointment.
- Complete the initial evaluation in the designated timeframe from the preliminary screening results.
- Obtain data reporting elements such as vitals and BMI at initial appointment.
- Coordinate and make referrals for services needed in order for the client to function to the best of their ability.
- Connect clients to services and resources that align with their individual goals and recovery and address needs.
- Understand and ensure proper billing codes for services.
Qualifications
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School diploma.
- Associates degree in business administration, medical secretary, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of two years of office experience or post secondary medical secretary training.
- Experience working in the behavioral health field preferred.
- Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Pay: $23.26 - $27.33 per hour. Compensation is based on years of experience.
