Job Title: Loss Prevention Business Partner

Pay Range: $22.50 - $27.35 / hour
POSITION PURPOSE
Support the Store Team's ability to address shrink concerns by providing reporting and consultation that is consistent and actionable.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
PREVENT
- Exception-based opportunities: Identifying the existence and root cause of urgent shrink opportunities and provide consultation to store team clients regarding those opportunities. Elevate opportunities that pose risk or greater impact to the appropriate leadership.
- Process Execution: Implement, monitor, and continuously improve processes and operations executed in the field and department that relate to the prevention of internal, external, and operational shrinkage. Partner with store field and Home Office departments to implement and improve processes.
- Safety: Provide consultation on in-store safety and de-escalation, partnering with Human Resources when appropriate.
RESPOND
- Reporting and research: Provide customized reporting for the store team in the format requested. Consult with clients on appropriate formatting based on the purpose of the report. Mine for information at the request of the store team. Consult with the store team on potential next steps if needed and provide any additional findings.
- Education, clarity, and alignment: Provide information in a digestible format. Ensure store team is clear on LP strategies and capability. Identify clarification needs and work to educate and align store team.
- Physical inventory process: Provide support and development on the execution of, and best practices related to, the physical inventory scan process.
- Post scan planning: Partner with store team clients to analyze reporting, determine focus, and build a strategy to respond to inventory results.
- Safety, ethics and compliance: Provide consultation on in-store safety, inventory control policies, and de-escalation strategies, while maintaining a thorough understanding of company policies, laws, and employee standards. Conduct professional, evidence-based investigations in partnership with Human Resources and field teams.
RECONCILE
- Physical inventory process (Store, DC, Web): Fixing variances and accounting for missing product found in the inventory scan process. Ensuring that a store's quantity on hand is as accurate as possible post-scan.
- On-hand accuracy: Fixing inventory inaccuracies identified by us or reported by other departments and the store team. Identifying the root cause of inaccuracies and proposing solutions to mitigate and resolve, including continuous improvement to tools used to aid in the maintenance and reconciliation of inventory.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- AA degree in related field or 2 years retail inventory experience.
- Ability to gather and analyze information and communicate results.
- Self and social awareness; ability to manage themselves and relationships with others.
- Understands retail math and algebra.
- Experienced in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to detail, with an ability to simplify complexity.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to adapt to change and meet deadlines.
- Self-accountable, Self-motivated, and goal oriented.
- Has integrity and uses good judgment.
- Competitive.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to sit in a stationary position in an office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC.
- Occasionally will need to reach, bend over, climb ladders, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to move in an office environment or store location in order to access files and gather information.
