Summary/Objective
The Accounts Receivable and Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing both incoming and outgoing financial transactions, ensuring the timely processing of payments and receipts, and maintaining accurate financial records.
What you would do:
- Post daily incoming payments including paper checks, wires, and ACH deposits to the appropriate customer accounts per remittances.
- Maintain and update customer accounts, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and balances are accurate.
- Address payment issues such as double payments, short-payments and other discrepancies, working with various internal teams for resolution.
- Ensure that general ledger accounts for AR and respective subsidiary Aging Reports tie out accurately - at month-end and year-end.
- Email invoices or statements of account to customers as requested.
- Review, process, and input vendor/supplier invoices into ERP system, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals have been acquired.
- Appropriately code vendor/supplier invoices based on chart of accounts.
- Match vendor/supplier invoices received against ZAM issued purchase orders
What we require from you:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounts receivable and payable (desired)
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables) and accounting software (Infoniqa/B7 preferred)
- Prior cash applications experience (desired)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policies
- Dependable, reliable, ethical, and willing to go the extra mile when needed
- Excellent interpersonal/people skills
