Job Description:
This position oversees portfolio management for the underwriting team, developing and streamlining casualty underwriting referrals, managing referrals as needed, and improving underwriting processes. The E&S Casualty Underwriting Portfolio Management position involves travel to support internal needs, contributing to strategic development of underwriting processes, and refining operations to meet E&S business goals.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage Casualty Underwriting Manager desk reviews to maintain underwriting quality
- Develop and implement reusable E&S Casualty training resources
- Oversee E&S Casualty underwriting portfolio management, monitoring SBU KPIs, including profitability and growth
- Provide technical guidance and referral recommendations as a subject matter expert
- Perform referrals on individual accounts as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 14 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with Associate Degree and 5 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area
- Bachelors Degree and 9 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area
- Portfolio management experience within primary or excess casualty, including at least 5 years of direct portfolio oversight
