**Job Title: Middle Markets Underwriter**
We seek a seasoned professional to join our team in Pittsburgh as a Middle Markets Underwriter. This role requires developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, partners, and customers across various industries to support business objectives.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Assess risks, evaluate exposures, and price policies to generate and maintain a profitable book of new and renewal business.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting.
- Grow and develop relationships with preferred distribution partners in assigned territories.
- Empower employees to use technical underwriting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to achieve business objectives.
**Requirements**
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 years of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area OR High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 1 year of experience in Underwriting or Market Facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including Associate Degree and 4 years of experience in Claims or Underwriting Support area.
- Knowledge of line/s of business and legal and regulatory guidelines.
- Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
