About the Role
Zurich Insurance Company Ltd. is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Middle Markets Underwriting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with brokers, partners, and customers across various industries in support of business objectives.
You will leverage your extensive knowledge of middle markets insurance to assess risks, evaluate exposure, and price policies accurately. Your expertise will help us grow and maintain a profitable book of new and renewal business. In addition, you will collaborate closely with colleagues from claims, finance, risk engineering, actuary, and technical underwriting to gain a deep understanding of the industry.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical underwriting, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, allowing them to build strong relationships with preferred distribution partners and drive business growth in assigned territories.
Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of experience in underwriting or market-facing area OR High school diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience in claims or underwriting support area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an associate degree and 1 year of experience in underwriting or market-facing area OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an associate degree and 4 years of experience in claims or underwriting support area
- Knowledge of line/s of business and legal and regulatory guidelines
- Experience with Microsoft Office
