Join Zurn Elkay to lead a compelling new growth initiative to drive adoption and implementation of filtered drinking water solutions with the multi-family housing market. As the Business Development Manager, you'll spearhead strategic sales and adoption initiatives directly targeting multi-family property owners, developers, property management companies, and key industry stakeholders.

You will be instrumental in building and growing this offering within multi-family by addressing an important unmet market need—providing superior water quality as a high-value amenity, benefiting residents, enhancing property appeal, and offering owners and managers a compelling competitive advantage.

This role reports directly to the Director – Filtration for Zurn Elkay.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement a strategy for deployment and execution of this growth initiative, to effectively drive rapid adoption and integration of filtered drinking water devices within multi-family properties

  • Create targeted sales strategies, tools, presentations, and compelling messaging that articulate clear value propositions tailored to property owners, managers, and developers

Relationship Development & Sales:

  • Build and maintain a robust funnel of multi-family clients, including owners, developers, property management companies, contractors, and channel partners
  • Conduct direct outreach, presentations, and in-person meetings to educate decision-makers about water quality challenges and position Elkay’s solutions as differentiated, premium amenity solutions
  • Actively manage this pipeline through consistent engagement, education, relationship-building, and effective follow-up to achieve conversions and sales targets

Market Engagement & Education:

  • Build and maintain relationships and key contacts within the multi-family market to increase knowledge of market, continuously refine deployment strategy, secure more effective meetings and gain insight & credibility within multi-family

  • Continuously enhance knowledge of the multi-family market through market research, and customer feedback to improve messaging, product positioning, and deployment strategies

Collaboration & Marketing Support:

  • §Partner closely with Elkay’s internal marketing team to develop and deliver impactful marketing materials and programs tailored specifically to multi-family residents, management teams, and ownership groups
  • §Support property owners and managers with customized marketing solutions aimed towards promoting this to tenants, while also driving awareness, satisfaction, and demand for this unique amenity

Sales Process Management:

  • Effectively manage leads from initial outreach through collaboration with channel partners and sales representatives, ensuring successful completion of sales and final product installation

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Direct experience within the multi-family housing sector (e.g., as a property manager, leasing agent, asset manager, or equivalent role)

  • Familiarity with key decision-making processes and motivations with multi-family stakeholders (residents, managers, owners/investors)

  • Proven ability to establish relationships, deliver persuasive presentations, and influence stakeholders toward product adoption

  • Highly self-motivated, driven by mission-oriented goals and comfortable in a highly autonomous and entrepreneurial sales environment

  • Strong organizational skills and accountability for timely follow-ups, pipeline management, and successful execution of sales plans

  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability and willingness to quickly learn technical details, features, and unique selling points of Elkay’s solutions

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively nationwide (up to 90%) to engage clients, develop market opportunities, and drive adoption
