Position Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Millwright Foreman who will oversee a crew of 3-5 people who are tasked with both new construction and maintenance work at Zimmerman Feed and Grain and Zutat Feed Solutions. Working with the project manager, the foreman will proactively communicate details to his team and provide the energy and guidance they need to accomplish their goals in a safe and timely manner and with utmost quality. Zimmerman Feed and Grain is looking for a skilled people-leader who will use his people-first emphasis to build a team that achieves results!

Job Functions

• Work closely with project manager to determine vision and timeline
• Lead a team of 3-5 other millwrights
• Provide vision, direction, and energy to the millwright crew
• Conduct daily stand-up meetings to enhance communication and clarity across the team
• Translate general work requirements into a ready-to-go plan for the millwright team
• Be familiar with safety guidelines and lead the team by example in working safely
• Represent boots-on-the-ground project and work challenges to project manager
• Collaborate on personnel actions such as hiring, promotion, and discipline
• Oversee the execution of work, including quality and production
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair stationary industrial equipment
• Assemble, construct, troubleshoot, and repair feed conveying systems in processing plants (legs, conveyors, etc.)
• Other work as directed by supervisor

Time Expectations

• Approximately 50 hours per week
• 6:00-4:30

Compensation

• Starts at $35/hour and depends on experience
• 1.5X overtime
