Zwicker is presently seeking a Human Resources Benefits Coordinator to join our team in Andover, MA. We are seeking a candidate with an eagerness to learn, as well as exemplary organizational and written and verbal communication skills. The employee benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, completes and verifies all insurance billing, maintains employee database and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.
The base hourly rate for this position is $23.00-$25.00 per hour.
Responsibilities include
- Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.
- Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
- Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
- Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.
- Verify and perform self-invoicing calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and resolve administrative problems with the vendor and broker representatives.
- Administer COBRA.
- Review and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation. Review monthly unemployment statements and communicate to state agencies and broker, as needed.
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.
- Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
- Prepare and maintain employee reports and complete benefits reporting requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and two years of experience in employee benefits administration.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred.
- Prior knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Physical Qualifications
- Be able to lift five pounds or greater

- Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
- Be able to read and comprehend position specific documents and correspondence
- Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
- Be able to operate a computer, HR software, phone, or equivalent device
- Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
