Zyscovich is searching for an Architectural Designer to contribute to its highly innovative and diverse team of professionals.
Responsibilities :
- Communicate with Directors, Designers and Project Managers to develop design concepts and graphics.
- Develop architectural designs into construction documents
- Participate in owner-architect-contractor meetings.
- Use software to prepare presentation graphics, renderings, & animations.
- Review submittals / RFIs during the construction process to verify conformity w / design intent.
- Manage submittals for project deadlines.
- Perform periodic site visits to verify as built conditions, identify / document constr. types & engineering systems.
- Maintain orderly project files to facilitate access.
- Understand & follow standard CAD / BIM procedures. Research products & NOAs to be included in specs.
- Coordinate and communicate with engineers, consultants to solve complex design issues & issues that arise during constr.
- Read an interpret as-built drawings for buildings.
- Resolve design detail issues and ensure designs align to safety standards and government regulations.
- Travel required to project sites in Tri-County area of South Florida (Miami Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties) approximately twice per month.
