What does an Electroencephalograph Technologist Do?
Operates specialized equipment which measures and records electrical activity of the brain, peripheral nervous system, and spinal cord. Assists in the analysis and diagnosis of disorders in the brain and nervous system such as brain tumors, sleep disorders, strokes and epilepsy. Requires an associate degree in related area. Requires certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologies. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
