We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to support a portfolio of capital projects across Germany's Chemical and Energy sectors. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a series of transformative initiatives. Our client is a world-leading chemicals company delivering complex, large-scale projects that require strong procurement leadership and commercial acumen.

As Senior Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end procurement strategies across the project, ensuring value-driven sourcing and robust contract management. You will lead supplier negotiations, oversee high-value procurement packages, and ensure regulatory and contractual compliance throughout. Working closely with engineering, construction, and project control teams, you will play a key role in ensuring the availability of goods and services required to meet project milestones.

This is a high-impact role suited to a strategic thinker with deep procurement knowledge, commercial insight, and the ability to drive supplier performance in a complex, fast-paced environment. Your expertise in contract formation, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement will be critical in ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery aligned with project goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement planning and strategy execution across all project phases
• Draft, negotiate, and manage high-value contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
• Drive supplier selection, performance evaluation, and relationship management
• Oversee contract compliance, procurement documentation, and reporting
• Mitigate supply chain risks and ensure continuity through proactive planning
• Collaborate with legal, technical, and project teams to align procurement with delivery targets
• Manage cross-border procurement and logistics considerations where required
• Identifies supply chain risks and develops mitigation strategies to ensure project continuity

Qualifications:

• Procurement experience from Chemical, Oil & Gas, Mining, or any other Heavy Industry
• Proven expertise in contract negotiation, commercial terms, and risk management
• Strong background in category management and procurement strategy development
• In-depth knowledge of procurement tools, ERP systems, and project delivery frameworks
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate regulatory environments.
• Fluent in English and German
