Good Afternoon Network, I am currently working with a client that are looking for a Sub project manager to work on their offshore project for the grid connection of the wind farm.

My tasks:

Responsibility for the sub-project management of the HVDC converter system from award to commissioning,

HSE and Quality Assurance,

Central contact person for all technical, legal and commercial matters of the converter,

Setting up and technical management of the team and sub-projects in order to build the converter in accordance with the programme objectives,

Control of the sub-project in terms of time, quality and budget,

Coordination of the design and system requirements with relevant internal and external stakeholders.

My skills:

Completed studies (Master's / Diploma) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or comparable,

Sound knowledge of high-voltage and extra-high-voltage technology AC and DC, in particular reactive power compensation systems and converter technology,

Experience in project management or commissioning for comparable service contents,

Very good knowledge of English and German (at least B2),

Strong organizational, assertive, communication and teamwork skills.

Not a must, but an advantage:

Experience in HVDC platforms or in the energy industry,

Additional certificates or qualifications in project management.

Especially for the BEI project:

The purpose of the position is to assume responsibility for the planning, implementation and commissioning of an onshore HVDC station (525 kV) in a programme for the grid connection of offshore wind energy in a hybrid interconnector project. This includes the phases of detailed planning, production and installation in close cooperation with the international transmission grid partner of the 2nd HVDC station.

Take over the project management for the HVDC station on land from detailed planning, final specification, manufacturing and installation to commissioning. You will be the central contact person for all technical and commercial matters relating to the converter manufacturer and the international project partner. You report directly to the overall technical project manager.

Your tasks will include, in particular:

- Assumption of responsibility for the construction and commissioning of the HVDC station on land, including the management of all associated aspects such as e.g. HSE and Quality Assurance.

- Structure and management of the team and the subordinate sub-projects such as e.g. Primary and secondary technology with the aim of ensuring the realization of the converters in accordance with the program goals (time, quality and budget), international standards and technical guidelines.

- Control of the sub-project in terms of time, quality and budget, in particular close cooperation with the project management functions of risk management, schedule management, cost management and quality management.

- Management of the contractors and representation of the client's interests vis-à-vis the contractor for the implementation of the HVDC station: elaboration of technical specifications, ensuring compliance with them, management of possible deviations, etc. together with the international project partner

- Monitoring (thematic coordination) of the construction of the converter plants on Bornholm (supported by a so-called advisor (engineering office)). The management and evaluation of the reports in question must be carried out in terms of technical plausibility and economic efficiency.

- Management of the technical and systemic integration of the HVDC system into the onshore grid (system management and operation, etc.) together with the Future Operations Working Group

- Ensuring the involvement of other internal departments in relation to their HVDC system requirements, e.g. asset management, system management, grid operation, etc.

- Management of the procurement of all necessary technical studies, including permits

- Ensuring the development of commissioning programs

- Sound knowledge of the technical equipment of extra-high voltage technology AC and DC, in particular converter and converter technology (DC)

- Knowledge of the concrete technical implementation of the above-mentioned service contents, e.g. in the area of project management or commissioning for comparable service contents

- Knowledge of the norms and rules in the area of responsibility

- Very good written and spoken English

- Experienced handling of standard PC software, especially MS Office

- Organizational and assertive skills as well as communication and teamwork skills

- Open-mindedness and initiative

- High level of commitment and flexibility for worldwide business travel
