Area Sales Manager

Pacific International Executive Search has been exclusively retained to assist a world leader in the insulation sector. This manufacturer with over 20,000 employees worldwide is a pioneer in the insulation space, with values focused on innovation, internal culture, development and an unwavering commitment to sustainability.

We are seeking for this position of Area Sales Manager someone based in Bavaria to cover Southern Germany and Austria. You will be selling technical insulation products in that region, developing current customers and winning new clients. Your customer base will mostly be dealers, contractors and specifiers and it is strongly preferred to have experience working for that client base in order to have a network in the region and a better understanding of the value chain. You will also be responsible for influencing the product range in the region, keeping in close communication with the customers to understand their needs.

Profile requirements:

• Technical education preferably at a university level
• 3 years' experience working with a distributor, specifier, architect or contractor of industrial materials.
• Experience working in the HVAC industry preferred.
• Must speak fluent German and business level in English.
• Location: Role is home office based in Bavaria, with 60% to 70% travel.

• Ability to manage and grow client relationships by understanding customer needs and providing the adequate solutions.
• Keen to learn about the technical industry sector.
• A development mindset, willingness to learn and grow with the business.
• Strong communication skills, being able to engage and develop others within the team.
• Comfortable working in a matrix environment.
