Shopify Web Operations Specialist
My client, the leading manufacturer of e-bikes, is seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Shopify Web Operations Specialist to support their expanding e-commerce presence across the EU. In this role, you will work closely with EU marketing and product teams, as well as the US-based web operations team, to ensure seamless site content management, localized user experiences, and compliance with regional standards.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the EU and US to streamline content translation, review workflows, site updates, and feature testing.
Add and maintain product listings on Shopify, including managing images, descriptions, pricing, and proper categorization.
Optimize product category structures to enhance customer navigation and improve the purchasing experience.
Identify and re-categorize underperforming products to boost visibility and sales.
Maintain and update website copy, promotional banners, and digital assets across various platforms.
Conduct pre-launch testing of new website features and user flows on multiple devices and browsers to ensure functionality and responsiveness.
Review and approve content and pricing-related promotions with legal sensitivity and attention to compliance.
Monitor product inventory and update pricing in line with approved internal processes and market requirements.
Participate in A/B testing initiatives to optimize user experience and conversion rates.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to validate GDPR cookie consent flows and ensure website data collection aligns with EU digital regulations.
Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve content and technical issues affecting the user experience on the website.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with Shopify, including product setup, theme customization, and third-party app integration.
Proven experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or web content management.
Fluency in both English and German is required.
Familiarity with localization practices, particularly for EU markets.
Strong understanding of GDPR compliance and digital content standards.
Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and eCommerce platforms.
Highly detail-oriented, with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
