Accountant - New ERP Implementation

Introduction to the Position

Our client is an established and rapidly growing company that is looking to hire an accountant with strong DATEV experience to join their team. The company is currently using DATEV for their financial operations and is planning to implement Workday Financials as their new ERP system at the end of the year.

This is an excellent opportunity for a DATEV accountant to apply their existing expertise while developing new skills with a cutting-edge ERP system. As the company continues to expand, this role offers the chance to grow alongside a dynamic team and contribute to the business’s success during a critical phase of their digital transformation.

Your Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of both local GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
• Proven experience in preparing monthly and annual financial statements, focusing on Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Hands-on experience with DATEV, including general ledger maintenance, monthly reconciliations, and VAT declarations.
• Skilled in establishing and maintaining internal controls over financial reporting.
• Responsible for month-end close processes, with a focus on revenue and AR, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
• Committed to continuous process optimization, including automation and scaling of manual tasks.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting, with a focus on AR and general ledger management.
• In-depth knowledge of DATEV and its applications for financial reporting.
• Strong experience with IFRS and local GAAP (HGB) standards.
• Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing automation in accounting processes.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and German.
