For the Communication and Information Center, Information Systems Department, we are looking for a
IT Project Coordinator (m/f/d)
With around 140 employees, kiz is the second largest central institution at Ulm University and provides services for research, teaching, studies and administration in the areas of library, information technology and media.
The Information Systems department operates the application systems for the university administration, the systems for e-learning and the library services of the kiz and develops or implements IT applications as part of projects.
You can expect an exciting and varied position with independent tasks in the scientific field.

Your Profile
- Completed university degree (university diploma or master's degree) in (business) computer science or comparable
- in-depth knowledge of project management methods (planning, control, communication and documentation) and supporting software tools in highly complex implementation projects as well as in process management (UML, BPMN)
- Detailed knowledge of client-server system architectures (J2EE, Tomcat), SQL databases (PostgreSQL), (network) file systems (NTFS, CIFS, NFS) and archive systems, security of IT systems and relational databases
- Basic knowledge of ITIL v3 and reporting platforms, campus, personnel and document management systems (interfaces) as well as interface technologies (XML, WebServices, SQL, CSV, etc.)
- Very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English
- Ability to work in a team, problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, independent working style and strong communication skills
Your Tasks
- Conception and implementation of the technical project goals of the research information system HIS RES and the doctoral administration system HIS DOC
- Participation in project jour fixes with the HIS consultants and the workshops offered by HIS
- IT-technical support of the partial product implementations in the specialist departments
- Development of application support and administration for a university-wide IT solution for research management
- Adaptation and mapping of processes for research data management and the doctoral administration system at Ulm University
- Concept development, commissioning and initial support for productive operation
- Mapping of research workflows in the system and creation and maintenance of a large number of forms
- Creation and implementation of the operating concept for the service in accordance with ITIL
- Conception and implementation of training for users
